Dr. Tillett did an excellent survey of the deletions made in the various editions of CWL's books. It was originally published in Theosophical History. Dr. Algeo wrote a rejoinder in the American Theosophist where he proposed publishing two sets of Theosophical books: One set would be as they are now. The other, would be very expensive reprints of the originals for scholars, except they would be annotated with explanations as to why the material was deleted in the popular editions. Dr. Tillett's article was reprinted (with his permission) in the second issue of the now apparently defunct "ACT Newsletter." I have extra copies of the first and second issues here, and will send them to anyone interested. But please re-imburse me for the postage if you are interested in having them. --j

The Inner Life definitely has the loony Mars material deleted. But I recall at least one more title by CWL being discussed in the past on theos-l or theos-talk, maybe Masters and the Path, as an example of editorial dishonesty. Perhaps someone else here has a better memory than mine.
