Re: Theos-World Adyar Convention Reporting

Dear Martin and friends

My views are:

Yes, yes.

We might be disagreeing only on semantics.
I do however find that there is a clear difference between saying that someone has performed "theft" or that someone elected to administrate, if the case is true, has "administered money given by others badly" due to ignorance or perhaps old age.

If one seeks another kind of administration, one aught to state so clearly and document ones case, so there is no doubt about what kind of compassion and non-selfish activity of Universal Brotherhood one is about to promote. Our task is always to seek to help our fellow human beings, also those whom aught to know better - even if they should fail. - It is simply out of the question to seek to tear another human being to pieces, just because we ourselves did not get our own will. There must be methods far more wise to use than this.

>>> Vivekananda on "Why we disagree"<<<

"I will tell you a little story. You have heard the eloquent speaker who has just finished say, âLet us cease from abusing each other,â and he was very sorry that there should be always so much variance.
But I think I should tell you a story which would illustrate the cause of this variance. A frog lived in a well. It had lived there for a long time. It was born there and brought up there, and yet was a little, small frog. Of course, the evolutionists were not there then to tell us whether the frog lost its eyes or not, but, for our storyâs sake, we must take it for granted that it had its eyes, and that it every day cleansed the water of all the worms and bacilli that lived in it with an energy that would do credit to our modern bacteriologists. In this way it went on and became a little sleek and fat. Well, one day another flog that lived in the sea came and fell into the well.
âWhere are you form?â
âI am from the sea.â
âThe sea! How big is that? Is it as big as my well?â and he took a leap from one side of the well to the other.
âMy friend,â said the frog of the sea, âhow do you compare the sea with your little well?â
Then the frog took another leap and asked, âIs your sea so big?â
âWhat nonsense you speak, to compare the sea with your well!â
âWell, then,â said the frog of the well, ânothing can be bigger than my well; there can be nothing bigger than this; this fellow is a liar, so turn him out.â

That has been the difficulty all the while.

I am a Hindu. I am sitting in my own little well and thinking that the whole world is my little well. The Christian sits in his little well and thinks the whole world is his well. The Mohammedan sits in his little well and thinks that is the whole world. l have to thank you of America for the great attempt you are making to break down the barriers of this little world of ours, and hope that, in the future, the Lord will help you to accomplish your purpose."

>>> Vivekananda - Response to Welcome At The Worldâs Parliament of Religions, Chicago, 11th September 1893 <<<
"Sectarianism, bigotry, and its horrible descendant, fanaticism, have long possessed this beautiful earth. They have filled the earth with violence, drenched it often and often with human blood, destroyed civilization, and sent whole nations to despair. Had it not been for these horrible demons, human society would be far more advanced than it is now. But their time is come; and I fervently hope that the bell that tolled this morning in honor of this convention may be the death-knell of all fanaticism, of all persecutions with the sword or with the pen, and of all uncharitable feelings between persons wending their way to the same goal."

Morten, you are missing the point...sure money needs administering, but for who? The Cause or the family/power/greed thingy...Preethi was right in saying organizations have become obsolete, since corruption is a big dog's ear in the book of such organizations. I do not know Radha, I only met her once and seen some video's of her. Even if she would serve her family, I wouldn't judge her. I myself am the only one to judge always by myself and every human should be judging him/herself alone as well...
So for Preethi, I would simply say goodbye to the current TS, to MKR I would say that karma is a knife never to be resisted, since karma only cuts mud...that mud everyone is made off....

Is it "taking money from others"?
Or rather "administering money given by others" because one was elected to administrate them?

Well if any money is raised to serve a common goal and as such spent on it, I see no crime...however when I see people live on taking money from others in disguise to serve a common goal, that is theft.
In old Pythagorean Society, only people not dependent on money, power or family were allowed in the circle of 100 to form a counsel to rule Greece by unanymous decision...

I think your calling Radhaji a thief is crossing the line for any
theosophist. You owe an unconditional apology.

As a theosophist, I would never all another human being a thief.

The ball is now in your court.
