Blavatsky became Buddhist to gain acceptance in the East. Did she really gain acceptance in the East? Not really. Theosophy is almost absent in Buddhist countries. Was Blavatsky accepted well in India? No.
What happened in west? Western Christians ridiculed Blavatsky due to her Buddhist, anti-God statements. That means HPB was rejected both in the East and the West.
So was Blavatsky wise or unwise in becoming Buddhist?
