Re: Theos-World Cass, Jake & The Inner Chemistry of Ethics

Hi Carlos,
Before antakarana can be bridged the lower self must be cleansed of all selfish thoughts, selfish emotions and selfish acts. The personality must be pristine. The only way to achieve this is to self judge all thoughts, emotions and actions and in doing so, see the error of our ignorance, which should lead to a non-judgemental, non-critical, attitude towards all. (And that includes , Coloumbs, Soloyviev, Leadbeater et al).

Which brings in Luke's elementals, the more we inforce a negative emotion, thought, the stronger the elemental becomes. We actually create our own demons.

Thanks for your thoughts on Ethics, Jake.

Sorry that you could not find the email you wanted.

Your message below puts on our common Theos-talk table the question of ethical principles, without which can there be no actual 'tuning' into Theosophy, and no real link to Wisdom.

Ethics is a decisive factor as to one's Antahkarana, that metaphorical 'bridge' between upper triad or higher self, and lower quaternary or "terrestrial" self.

Making moral choices, being sincere and trying to do good are among the alchemical conditions for changing ignorance into wisdom, and there is no other way to go.

It is a chemical and karmic process to be gradually lived by each one, with independence and responsibility.

It has nothing to do with blind belief, rituals, automatic obedience and other illusions which go hand in hand with conventional exoteric religion.

 Regards, Carlos.
