ANDERSON COOPER 360 DEGREES
Katrina Aftermath: Live From Bay St. Louis

SUMMARY:
By 9 o'clock ET Monday, August 29th officials should have known
there was a MAJOR DISASTER probably going to be of BIBLICAL
PROPORTIONS.
By 9 o'clock ET Tuesday, August 30th, the highest government
officials both elected and appointed (federal & state) should have
known that a DISASTER OF BIBLICAL PROPORTIONS had indeed engulfed
the Gulfport states....
Yet aid and help were so slow in coming to the victims of this
hurricane that even the former Republican Speaker of the U.S. House
of Representatives Newt Gringrich stated:
"I think it puts into question ALL of the Homeland Security and
Northern Command planning for the last four years, because if we
can't respond FASTER THAN THIS to an event WE SAW COMING ACROSS THE
GULF FOR DAYS, then why do we think we're prepared to respond to a
nuclear or biological attack [for which we have no advanced warning
whatsoever]?" CAPS added and words in brackets also added.
