Pedro, thanks for your information. That means
there is no reason for Adyar authorities to
suppress the Mead letter collection to any
researcher who comes to the Adyar archives.
Next time I hear of an acquaintance travelling to
Adyar I will instruct him/her to have a look on
it.
It would increase the reputation of Theosophy, as
many German scholars which whom I spoke about
Theosophy consider it not as serious as access to
the archives is not allowed.

Frank:
When the first accusations against Leadbeater were
made public, in
February 1906, G.R.S. Mead was co-editor, with
Annie Besant, of "The
Theosophical Review" (the successor to "Lucifer",
which was founded
by HPB in 1887). Because Besant was at that time
living in India
(Benares), Mead was practically its sole editor.
The Leadbeater case
was fully discussed in the TR, and several of the
open letters
circulated at that time (mostly against
Leadbeater) were published,
although statements by Besant published in "The
Theosophist" were
also reprinted, not without strong editorial
critique by Mead.
Collections of "The Theosophical Review" have been
available in many
TS libraries around the world for over one hundred
years.
