I've heard this said many times, but never seen the "evidence." There 
was a very good investigative article in the Wall Street Journal a year 
or two ago that indicated a lot of evidence to the contrary. I think I 
kept the article and I'll see if I can find it. What evidence have you 
found.

Yes, I know what you mean. We also get cable and have probably seen 
everything that has come out at one time or another. Some are quite 
good, and it it obvious that they did their homework. Others are less 
well done to very sloppy. But what I'm trying to seek out here are the 
documents upon which the documentaries base their evidence. 

BTW, there is a very worthwhile DVD of McNamara interviews available 
now. It's called "The Fog of War." Now 85 years old and still quite 
sharp, he goes back and discusses the situations and decisions he made 
concerning WWI, the Cuban Crises and the Vietnam war. It is stunning 
and thought provoking. --jhe
