Not only physical death of the owners but also any disasters, including those of electronic nature. (For example, year ago fire destroyed hosting center in Ukraine which hosted the main Russian theosophical forum).
I think that we need to use as a safeguard already existing off-line structures, for example lodges. Archived copies on CDs should be kept in the libraries of theosophical lodges and sections along with the usual books.
