Communication between the Sections and the members is quite slow. It is
really sad that members had to learn important information/news such as
passing of Dr. Agarwal from theos-talk.

But for Preethiâs passing mention, no one would have found about his death
for quite some time. This is not the first time that we had to learn
important TS information here rather than from the Section administrations.

The Sections are fully autonomous and how do you make them recognize the
need to improve the quality, quantity and speed of communication with
members. Anyone who is an elected official has to put up with criticism and
that goes with the job. Many times when I turn on the TV, we find the talk
show hosts making fun of the US President.

In this case, many of the leaders have informal network and I am sure they
learnt about his passing through their contacts. Why they did not take a
proactive stand? These days telephone calls are cheap and they could have
called Radha herself to verify if the information. (In my business, whenever
there is some issue, I pick up the phone and talk to the top man or woman
and take care of it.) Once verified, they could have distributed the
information to the members. Quick dissemination of information by the
Sections is going to improve the relationship between the members and
administration. I hope some good will come out of this incident.
