The only difference is that I actually overheard the plans in top
secret phone conversations (which is about the best source anyone can
get) while security monitoring field telephone networks while on
military assignment during 1945 in Northern France.. And, I'm sure
I've been under surveillance since at least the mid 70's to the mid
90's when I hung out with some ex CIA and other former gov't
employees, advisors or contractors with similar knowledge -- some of
whom were, then, visibly under surveillance by gov't agents.

But you are right that I really never needed to worry... Since the
only one among those friends who died mysteriously was the one with
incriminating written evidence of a former President's (and his
friend's, one, a later President) involvement in pro-Nazi
conspiracies -- ready for publication (which we all helped edit,
incidentally) -- that also mysteriously disappeared (along with his
co-writer, a French international lawyer). Whether she panicked and
ran off with the manuscript and other documents, or the agents
"cleaned" them all up -- is anyone's guess.

I've since left that circle behind in NYC for some years now, and
some of them have already died naturally (hopefully) -- so I guess no
one is looking at me anymore. ;-)

Best,

Leon
