Review:
Presenting the complex and extraordinary life of Madam Blavatsky (HPB), the Mother of the New Age, in the format of a screenplay is a brilliant idea. What could have been yet another dry biography became a colorful and lively film in my head as soon as I read the first words of this masterpiece. I finished reading the screenplay in one evening - not being able to put the script down once I started reading it. The emotions of awe, reverence, love, and gratitude for HPB were frequently mixed with a bit of anger for Olcott for his inability to protect her better from ignorance and the many attacks of her enemies. But the extraordinary mission that was accomplished by HPB and Olcott, in spite of the many challenges they both had to face, still stands as a proof of their sincere and devoted friendship. I highly recommend this book as the best biography of Madam Helena P. Blavatsky ever written.
