"14. Appointment of Executive Committee
(a) The General Council shall at each Annual Meeting appoint an
Executive Committee for the ensuing year or until its next Annual
Meeting, of not less than seven and not more than ten members, of whom
at least six shall be members of the General Council. The President,
the Vice-President, the Treasurer, and the Secretary shall be
ex-officio members."
As the Vice-President, the Treasurer, the Secretary are appointed by
the President, one can say that this Executive Committee is mostly the
administration of the President.
And as Election Committee is appointed by the Executive Committee,
one can say that Election Committee is also mostly appointed by
President and her administration. So if Election Committee fails to
conduct fair elections, blame goes to much extent to the President and
her administration.
In short, Executive Committee has many members appointed by the
President. Election Committee is appointed by the Executive Committee.
That means to considerable extent good or bad performance of the
Election Committee will indicate performance of the President, as far
as elections are concerned.
