Re: Medical Certificates or Doctors Opinions?

Hi Pedro,

Although it seems that you are avoiding the discussion you were
invited to and which could lead to an unbiased view on the ongoing
election process I will anyway answer your questions, but also
propose that you try to understand my message as an attempt to bring
the health issue in broader perspective then those views which try to
use it for their narrow political aims.

>Are you suggesting, in your statement mentioned above, that both Dr.
P. Thirumalai and Dr. M. A. Raveendran have lied in their public
statements about Radha Burnier's health?<

No, I suggest that they have expressed their opinion from their
personal perspective (as there do not exist in the Theosophical
Society an overall agreement what the role of the President is) what
the office of the President of the Theosophical Society demands from
the person who runs for it and that their opinion was also influenced
by the ongoing personal estimations from the supporters of the other
candidate regarding the health conditions of the actual President.

For instance, I am 55 years old, healthy and in quite good physical
shape but do not consider that I am "fit to undertake any
responsibility involving strenuous physical and mental activity". I
would not dare to express such statement for any person who has
passed the age of 50. But this is just my view.

>Would you call the categorical statements below, which were sent to
thousands of TS members, BEFORE the voting began, suspicions?<

I obviously used this word; I could probably use some other; but you
can replace it for your purposes with any other at your choice.

Best regards,
Anton
