I am sure that on the personal level all members of the Theosophical
Society are quite nice and benevolent people. In my view, the
problems arise when we begin to unconsciously identify our
personal views and interests with those of the Theosophical Society,
begin to see ourselves as the protectors of Theosophy against
various enemies and imagine that we are called to play this role.
Therefore the situation can not be properly analyzed on the level of
personalities - we all see ourselves as real and dedicated
theosophists. The understanding and solution of the situation is
possible only by using an analytic approach from the standpoint of
principles and the Rules and Regulations. Are they respected or are
they not?
The major role in the decay of the TS in Yugoslavia played members of
the ES who most probably genuinely felt that the rising
psychism will destroy the Society. But with their illegitimate
actions they produced exactly the result they were most afraid off.
And they continue to operate within this perspective and impose to
the Society the rules which are proper to the ES.
