Gregory,

You write:

=============================================================
But I have never met with such a strange "we are totally open" while
being less accessible than the CIA approach than I have found with
the ULT. Individual members (including various librarians who, I
presume, could not have been librarians because "librarian"
presupposes an office!) have been kind and generous – but have never
answered a single historical question directly unless it could be
done with an (apparently) almost memorized section of one of the ULT
official tracts. It's like trying to gather up quicksilver!
=============================================================

I love your sentence about "quicksilver"!!!

Let me first focus on this part of what you wrote:

"Individual members ...have never answered a single historical
question directly unless it could be done with an (apparently) almost
memorized section of one of the ULT official tracts."

Not one single historical question!

Now one might wonder why this is the case?

And I would think that not all of these historical questions related
to esoteric/secret subjects either....

I must say that for the most part this has ALSO been my experience
with MOST ULT associates that I have either talked or corresponded
with.

Now a few associates and a good number of ex-associates have been
much more forthcoming and have given other than "almost memorized"
versions.

I have been quite intrigued by this "phenomena" that you and I have
observed.

And my observation has been that these associates seem to lapse into
what I would call ULTese - using almost the same phrases, etc. And
when you ask for clarification of some of these phrases and words,
you never get further explanations that you could actually understand
or pin down!!

So I think your "quicksilver" description is very apt.

When I first became disillusioned with Leadbeater, I was quite
interested in the ULT and inquired but from the very first I
encountered this strange "behavior" on the part of some ULT
associates. All of this somewhat intrigued me but was actually
a "put off" at the time.
