DES, etc.
  
Dan,
    I don't care what the DES did, is doing, 
has thought. I'm not a member and far as 
I can see they aren't bothering anybody.  
Capitalizing "She" and "He" when refering 
to anybody is a bit too much for me.  The 
world, including ES groups, is such an 
inconceivable mass of errors and illusions 
and self-illusions, it is impossible for 
any Teacher to get a handle on it and apply 
any type of direction.  As soon as one error 
is corrected, a dozen more jump in to take 
its place.  The idea is to "try" is one is 
so disposed, and Crosbie was trying.  I 
don't think there are any bonafide ESs, but 
individuals here an there around the world, 
some maybe in ESs, some not.  Most not 
Theosophists.  Purucker was "trying" too.  
He may have not been "sent" as a messenger, 
but if someone wants to make a big effort, 
who's to stop them, and if they are going 
the right way, they probably get some help 
once in a while.
  
Karen:  It seems you have been going 
through some very bad times, and in the 
nature of cycles, we can hope that gradually 
the cycle changes, and things go for the 
better and inner resolution.  On "GOD":  
I'm not a member of any Theosophical organization, 
and one doesn't have to be a Blavatsky-style 
Theosophist to be a member of the Adyar TS.  
Blavatsky's teaching however, was that there 
isn't any personal God that one can pray to.  
Its a principle, not a being.  The only 
'god' is the god within ones own heart, 
one's own connection or atma, or monad, and 
connection or portion of the spiritual 
source of all.  The Key to Theosophy is a 
good basic book on Theosophical philosophy.
