Thanks for your commentaries. 

I do agree that, as you say, "there is a big difference  between 'caring' about one's own motive, and 'caring' about someone else's motive". 

I even have said that earlier.


However, while one should not have 'final opinions' about other people's motives, one may fulfil the duty of defending one's teachers from obvious lies and slanders. 

There are things said about this,  in some "esoteric papers" which Daniel  published and publicized,  but did not read, or did not pay attention to. 


The main point, of course, is that motives are important; they are central; and they should be examined mainly at the individual level; each one observing each one's own motives. 

I was checking something which circulated here -- "who cares about motives?"
