Pledge: Inner and Outer Links

Daniel,

Thanks.

Among other things, you say:

"H.P.B. writes that 'a pledge of secrecy taken ... to one's Higher
Self -- the God within -- is binding till death'."

OK. This is a fact for sure. But this is not the only things that binds one for several lives. There are other and higher commitements, like the one to our own higher selves. And this goes without saying.

So this pledge and every other pledge l depends on one's own inner authority, one's inner conscience.

It would be "Catholic" to keep an outer vow, if one's spiritual soul is not there any longer.

So everything depends on Antahkarana.

Is this understandable? There is no authority higher than one's heart -- since it is in one's own inner conscience that all contacts with Reality are made...

Carlos.
