Re: A WORLD MAP

Nov 02, 2006 07:15 AM
by Carl Ek

About the ULT and members vs. associates. On can be a member of a
local U.L.T.-lodge, but every lodge-member is associated in the
Parent Lodge in Los Angeles (which a person could be without being a
member in a particular lodge). You are associated with the Parent
Lodge in Los Angeles, but you are not associated with your local
lodge, there you are a member. The idea, with to have associates, is
that there must be something that is holding the people together.
This is the second thing, the first and most important for the ULT
is the Declaration. But I know that there is another culture within
the ULT in Europe, then what there is in the US when it comes to the
use of certain words (and in several other way to). And every ULT-
lodge is a United Lodge of Theosophists, and not a local branch. I
think, that, you Carlos, not will like this, but the ULT could more
or less be called a lodge federation.

corporation. It has no party line. It is an international study-
group. Rather a federation of free-thinkers who have HPB's and
Judge's philosophy in common.
