"indiscriminate display" of the Master's portrait???

Below is part of a letter I wrote some time ago to one of my ULT
correspondents. He was apparently upset with me for what he called
my "indiscriminate display" of the Master's portrait.

Dear ------,

Sorry if you are offended because I have published the portraits
of the Masters on the WWW.

I have received tons of emails thanking me for letting other
Theosophical students have access to these beautiful portraits. Most
of these people have said the portraits serve as a great inspiration.

HPB even had the portrait of Master Morya on display in her
rooms in London in the last years of her life.

Anyone coming to her theosophical meetings including the general
public, scholars and reporters could see the portrait.

[Notice that she did NOT hide the portrait even from the public who
would be coming to meetings. Several "profane" reporters who
interviewed her mention seeing the portrait in her rooms.

One can even see this portrait of the Master in a photo taken of the
interior of her residence. See HPB's COLLECTED WRITINGS, Volume
VII, facing page 256.

Compare this photo to the reproduction of
Mahatma M.'s portrait at:

WAS THIS ALSO "INDISCRIMINATE DISPLAY" BY BLAVATSKY OF THE
MASTER'S PORTRAIT??....

Daniel

[It should also be pointed out that, for example, Katherine Tingley
(who was the leader of the Point Loma Theosophical Society for
decades) allowed Master KH's portrait to be published as the
frontispiece to a book issued for the public by the Point Loma TS.
Was this "indiscriminate display" by Tingley of the Master's
portrait???]
