BESANT'S SD THIRD VOLUME

Dear Friends,

As to clarifying Richard Robb's position (SEE BELOW) since Daniel seems to ask him several questions, I would recomend writing to Robb, since he is not a member of Theos-talk. If anyone needs, I can provide his air-mail address.

I am glad that Robb's important words, quoted by Daniel Caldwell, have attracted commentaries and questions, even if a few years after Daniel published them.

As to my own view of Annie Besant's "Secret Doctrine" volume III, I see it as a volume with some excellent texts, and also other weaker texts, and some degree of tampering, a degree which is open to discussion. Alice Cleather denounced the tampering as something she herself saw.

No doubt, the Adyar TPH must have had strong reasons to abandon the editorial work of its longtime President (1907-1933) and still longer time leader of its Esoteric School (1891-1933), adopting the excellent editorial work done by Mr. Boris de Zirkoff.

Best regards, Carlos Cardoso Aveline
