The Teaching Company --  see below --  is in all probability related to the Vatican. In an advertisement in the "Astronomy" magazine, June 2006, p. 21, you can read about it. 

It purports to be an elite "scholarly" group searching for the synthesis of religion and science, but it is very much based in St. Augustine (not bad in itself) and then mentions "anti-Catholic  diatribes spread myths that persis today". 

There's a gigantic Public Relations effort by Opus Dei and the Vatican right now. 

The Teaching Company is most likely part of it.
