Try Letter No.67 in the Mahatma Letters. This letter, although I have only scanned it, and need to let it sink in, discusses how the mineral lays dormant (say in the case of life found in the Mars rocks) during the short pralaya of that planet, awaiting pre-occupation by new rounds in the future. Perhaps I have totally misread this, and would welcome others interpretations.

the 5th root race will control its own evolution into the 6th root race,
