I can't think of anyone that hasn't made their share of mistakes
within the Theosophical society. I suggest that people shouldn't stick
to one or two authors, though. It's not healthy under any circumstance
to do such a thing, because you will always get a tainted outlook. If
you learn abroad, you will get a much more balanced view.
