Dear Niki,
I am sorry to here you feel your perspectives and experiences are not
taken seriously.
You may well have 'contact with your dead partner' who are any of us
to say you haven't.
Many of us here have had experiences of a psychic and perhaps even of
a spiritual nature from time to time.
While I find reading and sharing the theosophical writings and
perspectives of great benefit, that doesn't therefore mean I don't
examine and compare different philosophies and perspectives and
continually challenge the theosophical perspectives.
HPB and the Mahatmas writings have imo tried to promote a questioning
and expansive mindset that is able to look at things many and varied
perspectives rather than a belief based mindset.
Many times we are either playing out an old program or perhaps
looking for what we want to see.
Many times we seek comfort and security rather than truth (and I say
this of all of us)
When you say " I know what I am talking about" I am sure your not
implying that we all need to accept your rationale as being the only
true one.
We all have different experiences and knowledge and ways of
processing that experience and knowledge.
HPB and the Mahatma's rationale for after death states of course may
be incorrect and I am sure they would encourage you to continue to
challenge their perspectives.
We also however need to challenge our own ideas, beliefs and the
nature of what we may experience in order to get a deeper
understanding.
Of course in the end the conclusions we draw are completely up to us.
There is great value in the Socratic method.
Hope you continue to contribute to the group!
Regards
Perry
