I think it is an excellent idea. But can it have the feature of a world clock, as in Oz I seem to be about 14 hours ahead of everyone else, UK and Europe 8 hours behind me and depending on where posters are in the US can be anywhere between 14 and 8 hours difference. If we knew what time it was in the rest of the world it may be a viable option

Yahoo Groups has a feature for a discussion list where the list members can
go and chat. Each group has its own chat area. In order to use it, a
participant must have a Yahoo Id and use Yahoo's web interface.
I have one enabled for the THEOSOPHY WORLD list, which includes most people
on theos-talk as well as many more. (Yahoo currently shows the number of
theos-talk subscribers at 286, whereas theos-world, the magazine, has 1286.)
I don't think anyone has taken advantage of this feature. A direct link to
the chat area is:

Does anyone wants to try it out and report back to the list?
If people try it out and it starts getting some activity, I'll send out a
notice to the online magazine and perhaps more people will join in.
