One should try to meditate on Self whom you also call Atma or Bramhan.
Initially aspirant tries to withdraw from personality and focus on
higher self but ultimately he has to withdraw further and focus on
consciousness or monad itself. To monad you are calling Atma or
Bramhan. Whatever the terminology, one has to focus on Self.
