Re: Hodson & Christ

Gregory, I guess you don't know much of Hodson and what you said is
almost like saying that HPB was a charlatan, when in fact she became
poor and sick because of her efforts.
Hodson held important offices in the T.S
And Konstantin is right, he was a war veteran (a major, general or
other `high' one) so I imagine he did recieved a pension.
If you read his diary – published after his death, so it wasn't to
promote himself or anything – you will find out a very humble and
dedicated man. Who dedicated most of his life and time to serve the
masters. And you will find teachings of masters (not only Mahatma K.H
and M.) which seem very reasonable and do not contradict at all any
of the mahatma letters to Sinnet and others
So I think you are being unjust with Hodson.
And though he was an initiate, he is not a bodhisattva, a mahatma or
a budha, he has the right to be wrong sometimes. For he is not
perfect. But i'm sure he is much better than we are and that he was a
humble true calyrvoyant.
The fairies that he pictures in "The kingdom of gods" are just like
the ones I saw when i was a child, and Ihadn't seen his book at that
time. So for me it is quite impossible that it was a lie, for
everething matched.
And the quantity of details he provides us is not common
to `charlatans'.
Konstantin's post is very interestant and i should agree with most of
it
It is believed even by theologists that Jesus (not Christ, since that
is a state of being) was born aroun 7b.c because king Herodes is said
to have died in the year 4 b.c. If jesus was born during his rule, it
could ony be before that.
G.R.S.Mead wrote a book called `did jesus lived 100 b.c?'. And his
very well fundamented the book... G.R.S.Mead is known as a
goodresearcher ingnosticism and early christianism. Being the first
to translate the important work "Pistis Sophia" to Enlgish. I
wouldn't disregard his opinion.
The first translator who got into contact with the manuscripts of
Qumran (I can't remember exactly if is John Alegro who says.. but)
one of them says very clearly "I saw manuscrist related to the new
testament! I saw them! They are being kept hidden from us" (something
like that)
And Hodson was `used' indeed by some archeologists, and they trusted
on him.
