As far I know, he really was the only man who helped the prince
effectively, and it was the main reason why the czar tolerated him.
Most probably he used something like mesmeric healing.
Ovbiously he had a large store of prana because for murdrers it took
several hours to kill him.

Under "imperfect" I meant that it helped, but expired.
