Pedro, yes, I have considered Dr. Tillett's reply
and I have shared it with some scholars here. To
be accurate it seems best I put the replies not
with my own words and better let one of my
scholarly correspondends speak. Here is in part
what he wrote to me:

"Tillett's "answer" (below) is a NON-answer. He
does not even know where to find the alleged
material, but he assures us that attempts to
suppress the material have failed. What utter
nonsense!!"

So were can I find the original letters of Mead,
Kingsland etc.?? Has the Tsunami destroyed them?

Frank:

Perhaps you may consider sharing with the German
scholars you
contacted the information provided by Dr Tillett
on theos-talk recently:

"All the correspondence was published by Mead and
others in various
pamphlets. Copies of these exist in a number of
public non-TS collections
(e.g. the British Library in London). A number of
them have been
published on the net (alas, I do not recall the
web site but seem to
recall that it was one operated by Alan Bain)."

As I said earlier, there is plenty of information
also in the issues
of "The Theosophical Review" (1906-1909), edited
by Mead.

Is the reputation of "Mahayana Theosophy"
dependent on access
to archives of "Hinayana Theosophy", to use the
expressions employed
by you?
