P.S. You might consider editing the Wikipedia
article on Leadbeater.
I've already made one change myself. It stated
that "all Theosophists"
believed that the "World Teacher" was coming. I
changed it to "many
Theosophists."
Well done. The Point Loma Theosophists never
believed in the World teacher poppycock of Adyar
as they misunderstood (and still misunderstand?)
the doctrine of tulku, messenger or divine envoy.
Only a few years ago it was clmained by Adyar
member in this list that the Great Ones
communicate directly with world men. It's
therefore not surprizing that they believe that
people like Besant, Sinnett, Leadbeater were in
direct communication with the Masters! And that
explain also the megalomania of that people and
also their jealousy against the rightful messenger
such as Damodar of Judge.
Besant believed self-fulfilling that she was in
direct (but nevertheless passive) communication
without the background help of either HPB or WQJ.
As they lived only in their lower manas they did
not understand that.
Besant did not even understand when she was
teached. She did not even understand when Judge
demonstrated his occult standing on the E.S.
meeting in Boston, where he showed the thousands
of E.S. delegates his tulku body.
For a better understanding of the World teacher
case - which is directly connected with the
doctrine of messengers in both higher Buddhism and
higher Theosophy - Katherine Tingley's book "The
Mysteries of the Heart Doctrine" may be helpful
and gives first hand information.
The poppycock speculations online on that topic
http://blavatskyarchives.com/latermessengers.htm
also proof that the mass of Theosophists even
today does not understand what a world teacher, a
messenger, a tulku, a Leader, an Outer Head, a
helper of mankind, a paraclet is.
As with the higher doctrine of the inner and outer
rounds it seems that also no discrimination and
understanding about inner and outer messengers in
the Theosophical Movement exists. It seems that
the various theosophical schools should also be
classified in Mahayana Theosophy (complete
vehicle) and in Hinayana Theosophy (defective
vehicle).
