Leon,
Thanks for your comments and a very Happy Octanarian Anniversary!

>>HPB's teachings about the impossibility of actually communicating
with the dead -- the way Edward's does it,<<

Yep, that's why I posted about it, I think Theosophy could present an
informing POV and perspective about this popular show that still is regularly
aired on Cable here in the USA. Articles could be written contrasting this from
the Theosophical Teaching on this form of alleged communication, particularly
as regards "Shells" and attributes found with them.

As far as Randi, I personally don't account highly his views, after all,
on his Homepage he used the slimy device of intentional attempting to
associate Theosophy with Adolf Hitler and the Third Reich as a means to give credence
to his personal view about Theosophy.

In the first link you posted it mentions the others James van Praag and
Slyvia Brown which also should be included per my original question. thanks.

As far as the "Letter" from a written by a former audience guest I have
my doubts as to it's authenticity. How many Production Asst's did you have for
your productions? I know from my limited experience salaried Prod. Asst's are
few and not a large gang roaming about aimlessly attempting to hear and
remember in the babble of over a hundred people in waiting. Also Studio Production
control Room Crews are much too busy to be doing what they allege in the
letter, calibrating the camera's, setting the audio and video levels, preparing the
"B-rolls" etc. Maybe they did have "Shills" as said that wouldn't surprise me.

As to:
>>"They" are often blamed for giving out wrong information, which "they" like
to do as a prank,<<

Funny I never have heard Slyvia Brown make such a statement or others in my
memory.

Further down they define a Psychic as:
>>What exactly is a psychic? The word psychic comes from the Greek word
"psyche," meaning "breath of life" as in a soul or spirit.<<

That's different from what I read of the Greek "psychicos" = Soma="feeling"
So when they say: I am getting the "Feeling" of <example> the reader is in
compliance with the definition.

They also make a statement about the Aura:

>"they can connect with someone's soul through their aura energy field (which
is said to be an extension of the body)"<

Extension of the Body? Doesn't Theosophy say the Aura is produced by the
Subtle Body not the Meat Body?

Then they say this about Mediums:
>"Mediumship is when a psychic raises their energy to such a level that they
act as a conduit of information"<

Where did Blavatsky say a Medium had to "raise" their energy to perform
mediumship?

It seems to me the debunkers have very contrasting views comparative to
Theosophy, another reason Articles written by Theosophists based on Theosophy might
straighten their views a little. After all, one of the primary efforts when
Blavatsky was alive and kicking was that she wrote many Articles about the
spiritists and PSR contrasting the Ancient Wisdom of Theosophy with what they
promulgated. theosophy could do the same today in this fertile ground.

John
