My views are:

Many who has escaped from this you call a cult ( with Adwaita Vedanta
teachings and what not)
have a totally different and much more positive view.

Maybe some bad people has something against Sai Baba instead ?

Try to picture this:
If you were an investigator in the Police Squad, I think would problably be
be degraded to traffic duty
for such a kind of research.
