Theos-World Re: act-l historic discussions

Dear Eldon,

I think I'm mixing up two things in my memory; there was an ACT
board list which *was* private, but a lot of the same people were on
both. If this has been publicly available all along then I suppose
there is no cause for concern. There is some inane and/or
embarrassing stuff in there that people might want deleted but
unless and until anyone requests it, I think you should keep the
record. That's easy for me to say, having left the TS years ago,
but those still in it might feel differently because their remarks
of 1998 could subject them to retaliation in the future.

Cheers,

Paul

PS-- Rereading some of those posts, I will retract my agreement with
Bart that one or two negative individuals ruined things. They did
*for me* but I think that the convention initiatives flopping and
Nathan resigning from the TS and the reelection of John Algeo killed
the reform movement. That's just guesswork and I'd be curious to
hear from an eyewitness.
