You know K.Oaul Johnson documented the fact that there were
irreconcilable discrepancies between various mahatma accounts and
that no historical person known to have been associated with HPB can
be shown to have been one of the mahatmas. His conclusion is that
the mahatmas were composites, etc. Another possibility is that, to
guard their privacy various red herrings were inserted into the
account to prevent sharp eyed people from making a positive
identiication. If they were real people and otherwise what they said
they were, this conclusion is inescapable. That makes anny
identification less than conclusive.
