Well, she did live BEFORE psychology as a science had been developed. 

The strongest case of HPB talking about this stuff (as far as I know) 
was the Bowen Notes I wrote about previously. They can be found with 
my preliminary footnotes (a first attempt at dividing weat and chaf)

Though it could be argued that The Voice of the Silence talks about 
it too, or at least hints in that direction when it says:

"The Mind is the Slayer of the Real" (capitalisation mine).
