Dear Etvion and friends:

In studying the principles and practice of Theosophy I have
found:

Look on such things as the implacable operation of Karma.

The "spiritual people" will always continue to act with
impersonality and compassion -- trying always, to be brotherly,
honest and caring for all.

They will always look on the politics, nationalities and
religions of those who surround them as temporary things which
pass and change from incarnation to incarnation -- so in reality
they have no special SPIRITUAL value, but only serve to retard
and distort our view of the present.

Spiritual values are the great VIRTUES, and these are found to be
the same in all religions and at the root of all the law statutes
of every Nation, for all time. They have nothing of the selfish,
personal element in them. Tolerance, impersonality, generosity
and wisdom mark the activities of those who try to practice true
"spirituality."

Those persons who are involved in a catastrophe, personal or
otherwise, did something to attract that adverse Karma ( which,
by the way, is always a learning opportunity, or a chance to
redress and expiate some previous debt due to persons whom they
had made victims in earlier lives.).

The one who has spiritual knowledge will always advance the fact
that selfishness and infringing the rights of others bring the
same kind of pain as was inflicted, back to the individual who
inflicted it. It is not chance or luck, but the whole of Nature
moves only within LAW.

It is Man, who has free will that makes evil things happen
according to his choices. He has also the knowledge of the
"good." This is whispered to him by his "Voice of Conscience,"
every time he proposes to do evil. But, only those who listen
are wise men, or women, indeed.

No prayer or petition can turn aside the penalties due and
certainly the VICTIMS ALSO DESERVE RECOMPENSE. This is one of
the ways in which this is done.
As we become wiser we learn to practice brotherhood all the time
and avoid inflicting any pain on anyone.

I am not sure what you mean by "Lucifer."

Lucifer was the LIGHT BRINGER, the highest of the Archangels.
Not the "devil" which the Church depicts. They altered his
reputation and image in a wrongful way. Mercury is "closest to
the Sun" of TRUTH undying.

My personal take of this sad phenomenon of war, is that it
indicates a
failure on the part of the spiritual people to wield their
spiritual
responsibilities properly.

There is only one way to remedy this illness of
war: That we will take spiritual responsibility, and will inspire
other to
do the same.
