Actually, it is the other way around. Germany's Wehrmacht had already suffered
devastating defeats during the winter of 1941, in 1942 at Stalingrad (loss of the
Sixth Army), in 1943 (tank Battle of Kursk) and so forth.

Naturally I am not saying that the American Canadian efforst were not instrumental
at bringing this horrible episode to a close. Many brave American and Canadian men
died for our freedom, which we must never forget.

However, the role of Russia has been neglected ever since the Cold War started,
and the real tragedy of this war is that while many brave and good men died so
many miles from their homes and beloved ones, the real causes of this war were
just cynical and opportunist. If you delve deeply into history, you will find
enough to suggest that the second world war was fought for different reasons; to
settle geopolitical and monetary disputes of a whole different order.

And as always, we, the citizens of the world, pay the price. And our tragedy is
that these cynical governments lie to us, and we are still willing to kill, maime
and mutilate in the name of lies. I suggested Anthony Sutton's book a while back;
I suggest now you study them all, in order to at least appreciate another look at
history - and the things we weren't thaught at school.

Kind regards,

Theo
