Ironically, concern that the WMD hoax may not be a hoax at all is the
reason ther has not yet been a war against Iraq. As it becomes
increasingly apparent there are no WMDs, Bush's rhetoric becomes ever
more bellicose. Everyone agrees North Korea has WMDs and rhetoric
regarding them is downright conciliatory. But then the Bush family
is in the oil business and not the chop suey business. There is chop
suey in North Korea, but Iraq is where the oil wells are.

I still find it difficult to believe a personal deity would
consciously decide to create a predatory world filled with scumbags
such as the one we live in. I can. however, imagine an impersonal
universe which is mysteriously endowed with consciousness evolving
such a world. It is the latter hypothesis which seems more
plausible, but the question is so far beyond human comprehension I
may just be showing what an idiot I am by trying to puzzle it out.
