Phillip, what are your CRITERIA or STANDARDS?

Phillip, I asked you:

"Do you believe that there really are 'charlatanesque imitations of 
Occultism and Theosophy. . . .' "?

You replied:

"Loads of them! Clare Prophet and Summit Lighthouse,I Am Movement, 
and much other 'channelled' material. All make a travesty of the 
Masters and distort. Funny I have seen the likes of Faivre et al 
lump AAB in with them! Talk about ignorant prejudice!"

Phillip, from what you write in the above statement it would appear 
that you have some kind of standard, some criteria. You have 
apparently compared Prophet and the Ballards against this standard 
and decided that their claims and teachings fall short and in fact 
represent "a travesty of the Masters and distort."

In other words, it would appear that you have criteria by which you 
can make a judgment that a certain teaching or claim (for example, 
Bailey's teaching/claim) is part of "genuine" Occultism and Theosophy 
but another teaching or claim (by Prophet or Ballard) is 
a 'charlatanesque imitation of Occultism and Theosophy'."

Can you tell us what your criteria are?
