Actually, the term "Aryan" was used by European Supremicists before
Blavatsky's time. Or, more precisely, misused (they mistook the Sanskrit
"Aryan" for the name of a "race" of people, rather than a title of
nobility). Blavatsky, in her usual manner, tried to correct this in her
books, instead ending up associated with it (similarly to what happened
with her magazine, "Lucifer").
