Re: illusion, delusion, confusion

Dear M and friends:

Delusion, illusion, confusion are mental attitudes and "afflictions."

If we desire to reduce them to some degree of order we have to
transcend them. The "desire nature" has a grip on our lower mind and
together they create the delusion of isolation and selfishness. We
lose sight of the immortality of all beings and the fact that we live
in a universe devoted to cooperation.

Interiorly, we ALWAYS KNOW what is true. We have to learn to trust
that. It is INTUITION and it is also the VOICE OF CONSCIENCE.

They are always influenced by desire, selfishness, anxiety -- all
pertain to Kama-desire principle. To overcome one has to secure the
help and wisdom of BUDDHI-MANAS.

Only a good knowledge of THEOSOPHICAL doctrines can help. Try
studying the KEY TO THEOSOPHY (HPB) particularly from pp 176 - 184.
But that will not help much unless the whole substratum of the
theosophical philosophy is not well grasped.

We must realise we fabricate our own personalities all the time. If
we can take a firm hands in this reform we will be able to transcend
all illusions.

Affirm to yourself I AM THE SUPREME SELF. I can know any and all
truths. In my choices I shall always be unselfish and practice all
the virtues. I will act for and as the SELF OF ALL CREATURES. I will
harm no one or anything in the world.

Get a copy of the KEY TO THEOSOPHY (HPB) and study it carefully.-- or
download from the "on line" version at http://www.blavatsky.net

See if that helps

Best wishes,

Dallas

Subject: Re: The THINKER -- REALITY and MAYA-ILLUSION

Dear Dallas,

In SD there is "illusion of ignorance" refered as Maya. Personality
and time
is referred as illusion. Which can be true/false?
- There are different kinds of illusions
- Ignorance cause illusions
- Illusions cause ignorance
- Ignorance and illusions occur together naturally - So we are in
illusion
of ignorance as in the case of personality and time naturally within
the
limits of mind as sum of the states of Consciousness.
Could you please help?

Sincerely
M Y
