But re you last para: The Haavara case was never covered up, it was always
known by the historians.
One should read for example the book by Mr Nicosia were several other
stories come to light which are perhaps surprising or even treacherous for
the good minded average citizen.
One can learn from it (and that is a good analogy for theosophical studies,
too!) that there may be a vast difference between "hard facts" and unbiased
history - and what is every day produced in mass media, political talks and
taught in schools.

When I was beginning to study theosophical history deeper some years ago and
reached the big taboo - persecution in the Third Reich which was a shame for
the old co-Theosophists - I began deeper research on the Third Reich, a
study which will never end as around 80% of the primary sources are still
covered up - even to top historians.
It was amazing to me that many things were quite contrary to the common
presentation.
This does in no way mean to belittle the big and many crimes of the Nazis.
But from a theosophical point of view it makes also no sense to invent myth
and make the real crimes bigger every year and just because the truth will
come some day out and gives unwarrant rationales for those fanatics who
would like to whitewash all. Is that clear expressed in my silly English?
In other words: The Jews themselves should have be an interest to present
the truth and nothing as the truth, otherwise they feed anti-semites. It is
said that it is very often not the case.

There are many other hard facts which contradict the common pseudo
historical propaganda (which is masked as serious research):
- That Hitler attacked suddendly the SU - Russian Generals and historians
presented in the early 1990's that Stalin was in attempt to attack suddenly
Europe and that Hitler was only the one who stroke first.

- That the Germans killed 11,000 Polish officers in Katyn (don't know
whether the spelling is different in US).
Goebbels made propaganda about that saying it were the Boshevists and for 50
years it was believed as a lie.
But Moscow admitted that it was the Red Army.

- That the Allied were not going against Germany and the Germans but only
against the Nazis. Top Secret US Army files, which will be published first
time in Sept. 2002 show on the contrary that the aim was to destroy the
intelligent elite for merchandise purposes.

- The Pearl Habor story. Good research available in book from by Hamilton
Fish or by Benjamin Colby.

I typed "haavara" into google.com, and found scores of sites
including the following supposedly owned by Simon Wiesenthal:

Wiesenthal, who presumably is not a Nazi, says the story is true.
The Zionists (who did not represent all Jews in 1933 by any means)
saw the world boycott against German goods which was motivated by
German persecution of Jews, as an opportunity to promote their own
interests by importing German goods into Palestine, and to that end
they cut a deal with Hitler's government.

Anyway, read about it and decide for yourself. It is surprising that
this incident, which must have been seen by some as treacherous, was
covered up until fairly recently.
