Bruce I and Bruce II: Two Separate People

Feb 22, 2002 01:42 PM
by Daniel Caldwell

I see that Paul Johnson in message:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/UniversalSeekers/message/2897

writes about "Bruce McDonald," editor of FOHAT
magazine.

Towards the end of his posting, Johnson writes:

"But how accurate or inaccurate McDonald's personal
insults were in my case is really beside the point.
I've kept my peace about this for years (as with
Crews) but now I see that THE SAME PERSON is launching
personal insults against Brigitte. The same modus
operandi seems to be in play, that is divert attention
from historical puzzles and evidence by focusing
instead on the alleged personal defects of authors who
are trying to examine them." caps added.

The "personal insults against Brigitte" that Johnson
refers to is apparently what Bruce F. MacDonald wrote
to Brigitte on Theos-L in the last several weeks.

But the Bruce of FOHAT is not the Bruce of Theos-L as
I suspected. I wrote yesterday to the Bruce of
Theos-L
and he replied in part:

"No. I'm a different Bruce. . . . So Paul has the
wrong man this time. . . . Perhaps you can tell Paul
that he is dealing with two [separate] people. . . ."

Actually the Bruce of FOHAT is Robert Bruce MacDonald
[see any issue of FOHAT]and the Bruce of Theos-L is
Bruce F. MacDonald [see his e-mail address, etc. in
his postings on Theos-L.]
