I think that book was actually MADAME BLAVATSKY'S BABOON. Again I don't
remember the exact wording of the Smith reference, basically that he was
america's first occultist. Don't think it was actually stated that HPB
got any of her idea's from Mormonism, just that he was a precurser. HPB
DID have a short stay in Salt Lake City at one point the guestof Emmiline
B Wells, who was a wife of Daniel Well counselor to B. Young and in her
own right a leading Mormon sister. Who knows what thay talked about?
I have also been to the Polynesian Cultural Center. Nifty place.
BTW I will be away over the weekend. Back Tuesday, so will catch up then.
