Isn't "Top Secret" clearance about the lowest "clearance" one can
have, and still be considered "clearance"?
During the Korean War, I was in the Navy, and as a Radarman, and as a
Petty Officer (enlisted), I had the responsibility, when in port, to
take the mail in to the post office, and pick up the "Guard Mail",
ships orders, and things like that. I also had "Top Secret" clearance,
and as far as I know, didn't know any real secrets. It does sound
nice, though, when breaking out the Sea Stories for the benefit for
the civilians.

Do you have any idea why the documents were falsified?
I should think all of this would be of greater value intact to the
Allies?
Thanks for sharing all of this. It is interesting.
