Leadbeater never claimed adeptship. And HPB didn't shrink from letting
it be known she was in communication with the Masters. How about all her
psychic feats? Was she seeking to be recognized as a great teacher? In
fact, I think she was. She was trying to establish her credentials, so that
she could bring Theosophy to an unbelieving world. And what about the
Masters themselves? If they're not allowed to tell anyone who they are, we
wouldn't even know about them. How about their supernormal feats? Were
they just showing off?
