Dear Odin:
In regard to your question and surmise. In an infinite Universe
there are infinite possibilities.
The MONAD is held to be an immortal and an ETERNAL PILGRIM.
Is it not possible that it may have been through experiences of
which we have neither record (available for us to see now) of nor
any idea of.?
Might it not be that the details of previous incarnations are
rarely made available to the embodied brain-mind of this
incarnation as they would stir and confuse not only the Ego that
receives and revives those memories, but also the minds and sense
of justice and good-will of others around him.
When I lived in Delhi in the 60s there was a sensational case of
a young boy born and brought up in Delhi who claimed (from the
time he could speak) to have been born in Meerut where, he said,
he had his family -- Meerut is about 65 miles North East of
Delhi.
He pestered his Delhi family, and after he got to be 5 or 6 they
took him by train up to Meerut to see if there was any truth in
his claims.
Arriving at the Meerut station he unerringly led his Delhi family
through the never-before visited Meerut streets to a certain
house, and on being admitted. He greeted a middle aged widow (to
her surprise and consternation) as: "wife." He then gave
numerous proofs of his having been born, lived, married, had
children (whom he named, but did not presently recognize as they
were by then grown up) and, furthermore, as elderly relatives of
the Meerut household were called and came in to see this
sensational visit, he met and named them as though he was
perfectly familiar with them and of the same age group. As for
himself in that incarnation he had died of an accident when he
was in his early 20s,.
I mention this and there are several other cases recorded, where
inexplicably a previous reincarnation and many details were
substantiated.
"Deva Egos" seems to be to me a name given tom our MANAS, which
in association with Buddhi (see S.D. II 632fn H.P.B. Articles
III, p., 265) in conjunction with Buddhi or the :Higher Manas."
Best wishes,
Dallas

Why does the Voice say (p. 29) that "Non-permanence of human
action,
deliverance of mind from thralldom by the cessation of sin and
faults, are
not for 'Deva Egos'"? In the footnote "Deva Ego" is noted as
"The
reincarnating Ego." If we take the position that the Masters are
not,
properly speaking Reincarnating Egos or Deva Egos, but
Nirmanakaya or
Boddhisattva Egos, then it would appear proper to say that a Deva
Ego had,
in the past chosen isolated bliss or Nirvana. What does the
Group think??

SD Volume II, P.79 gives food for thought where it speaks about
the
"imperfect" triangles who "remain behind":
But this fire is the possession of the Triangles, not of the
(perfect)
Cubes, which symbolize the Angelic Beings:* the former having
from the
first creation got hold of it and being said to have appropriated
it for
themselves, as in the allegory of Prometheus. These are the
active, and
therefore-in Heaven-no longer "pure" Beings. They have become the
independent and free Intelligences, shown in every Theogony as
fighting for
that independence and freedom, and hence-in the ordinary
sense-"rebellious
to the divine passive law." These are then those "Flames" (the
Agnishwatta)
who, as shown in Sloka 13, "remain behind" instead of going along
with the
others to create men on Earth.
But the true esoteric meaning is that most of them were destined
to
incarnate as the Egos of the forthcoming crop of Mankind. The
human Ego is
neither Atman nor Buddhi, but the higher Manas: the intellectual
fruition
and the efflorescence of the intellectual self-conscious
Egotism-in the
higher spiritual sense. The ancient works refer to it as Karana
Sarira on
the plane of Sutratma, which is the golden thread on which, like
beads, the
various personalities of this higher Ego are strung. ...in the
semi-esoteric
allegories, ... these Beings were returning Nirvanees, from
preceding
Maha-Manvantaras-ages of incalculable duration which have rolled
away in the
Eternity, a still more incalculable time ago-
SD II, 232:
...e find a direct hint at the truth in the frequent allusions of
Parāsara
(Vishnu Purāna), to all those Rudras, Rishis, Asuras, Kumāras and
Munis,
having to be born in every age, to re-incarnate in every
Manvantara. This
(esoterically) is equivalent to saying that the FLAMES born of
the Universal
Mind (Mahat), owing to the mysterious workings of Karmic Will and
an impulse
of Evolutionary Law, had, as in Pymander-without any gradual
transition-landed on this Earth, having broken through the seven
Circles of
fire, or the seven intermediate Worlds, in short.
There is an eternal cyclic law of re-births, and the series is
headed at
every new Manvantaric dawn by those who had enjoyed their rest
from
re-incarnations in previous Kalpas for incalculable Ęons-by the
highest and
the earliest Nirvanees. It was the turn of those "Gods" to
incarnate in the
present Manvantara; hence their presence on Earth, and the
ensuing
allegories
----------------
Are there then, varying degrees of "returning Nirvanees"? Is it
the above
mentioned who constitute the general run of humanity. Are the
informing gods
ourselves in reality? Or some other?
Have a great stay,
Odin
