Dear Katinka

One of the reasons I have not been able to be as thorough as I
would like is that my time has been severely reduced. 6 months
ago my left hand was partly paralyzed (an old injury) so my
typing is severely reduced. Its getting a bit better --
struggling.

I will try to get you the references I think are relevant as soon
as I am able. So please be patient with me for a while. Thanks
for looking over that large volume.

Do also try and see the Michael Gomes book -- I found it useful,
but it covers a large volume of written and documented events --
and those are of course the basis for the History book -- so
while he gives points, the actual original sources need to be
carefully read -- so that you can erect for yourself a memory
picture of what is said there.

I think Daniel Caldwell is far more competent than I am in these
matters, and I have always found what he writes well documented.

Best wishes,

Dallas

Hi Dallas,

Now I have read Sylvia Cranston's book [ on H.P.B. ] and it seems
to me that she does
not at all adress the issues that Paul's books adress, so that
your
referring me to that book (to reread it I suppose) is not really
any use.
Your referring me to the index to the Theosophical Movement does
not
really help me Dallas, where has your helpful habit to point to
specific
pages gone? At some point in the next year I will probably find
the
patience to actually read "the theosophical movement", but I was
wondering
if you could point to the pages of that book that addres the
relevancy of
Paul's book. Seems you quite simply cannot. On the other hand,
how could
it be relevant for that book, since the TM was published years
before
Paul's research was done?

Same questions and good intentions are relevant as far as Michael
Gomes'
book is concerned. Precise pagination would be welcome.
