May 24th 2000

Thank you Frank.

I have just posted a general memo on the situation including the
nature of the ULT which ought to make clear all those main points
that are under review.

Best wishes,

Dallas.

David,
the ULT has as every branch of the Theosophical Movement men and
women of
honor and I know that Dallas is one of them.
I believe Dallas loves the truth all we all here. Judging form
his position
he is right to be critical against Katherine Tingley, the more as
he as a
loyal ULT member knows and can only know history from that
sources his own
organization gives out.
In the testimony of Iverson Harris I just posted to the lists and
to which
you refer to Mr Harris reports that the then (1931) ULT official
Margaret
Thomas verified the Judge Documents which were shown to her and
she accepted
the Point Loma view that indeed Judge appointed KT as his
esoteric
successor, in the same way as the Esoteric Council in NY in 1986
came to the
same conclusions.
I am not playing the game which guy is more right than another.
My purpose
was to draw attention to historical facts and documents which are
sometimes
are suppressed to strong loyalties to own organizations.
I am quite sure that Dallas will give the testimony of Margaret
Thomas
careful consideration as he is a honorable Theosophist.
One should bear in mind that with the internet tool we are but in
the first
step, not in the last. Before the internet era is was impossible
to have
free access to documents and facts which are in the possession of
competing
theosophical organizations, each lineage was defending its own,
sometimes
sectarian interests and would have moved heaven and hell to
prevent their
own sheep to have a chance to read what is forbidden.
So Dallas here is only a symbol, a sign of the old days which are
dying out
soon. With internet it is no longer possible for the elected (if
not chosen)
Ones to suppress information. And I am sure that Dallas is with
me of the
opinion that it is good to have now the possibility to learn and
the access
to hidden files.

Frank
